Focus T25 Day 10 – Ab Intervals & Lower Focus

Focus T25 Day 10 wraps up today and marks two weeks doing the Focus T25 workout program! I’m really enjoying this workout this far and I can’t wait to jump into the Beta and Gamma programs. Ab Intervals is my favorite ab/core workout out of all the programs I’ve done. The burn after that workout is insane.

Focus T25 Day 9 – Alpha Cardio

Focus T25 Day 9, I’m posting this a day late since it was a late night workout. Yesterday, was a long 13 hour day of travel with flight delays and missed flights so I spent a lot of time sitting. When I finally got to workout at home last night around 9:15pm it felt good to stretch the muscles and move around. I’m really enjoying this workout so far.

Focus T25 Day 8 – Speed 1.0

Focus T25 Day 8 – Speed 1.0 from Montreal. It was a short and simple 25 minute workout that really got the heart rate up and added some much-needed stretching. I also added a pushup/burpee/mountain climber routine to the end to push myself a little harder tonight.

Focus T25 Day 7 – Total Body

I finally got my workout in at 8:15pm tonight after traveling for 7 hours today. My left knee was a little achy from the 5 mile run I did yesterday and the fact I was sitting on a plane for a good portion of the day. However, it was nothing that I could work through. Total Body is a decent workout and while I didn’t burn a ton of calories, the core exercises are very useful and effective.

Laguardia Airport Healthy Food Options

If you travel often, it can be difficult to find decent food options in the airport. Today, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a fresh salad bar with a huge variety of options at Terminal D in LaGuardia.

Last week when I was passing through the same airport via the Southwest terminal and I found a Gluten Free wrap at the Cibo express, today I found the salad bar. Airport score!

My lunch today consisted of Spinach, Grilled Chicken (tasted really good), Olives, Hard Boiled Egg, Cherry Tomato’s, a little feta cheese and a VERY small amount of Lite Raspberry Vinaigrette with a Red Delicious apple.

Weight Loss Stats – A Comparison

I’ve started keeping a journal recording my Focus t25 journey. I’ll publishing my weight, body fat using my Fibit Aria Scale and my body measurements. My plan here is two-fold, keep myself accountable and have a nice visual reference to the weight loss stats and changes. I wish I would have done something similar with the other workouts I’ve done over the course of the past year.

As I was entering my measurements I went back to March 2013 when I first recorded my body measurements. One thing to note here is from January 24th, 2013 through March 29th, 2013 I had lost over 31.8 pounds already so these numbers were much higher. I’ve never actually sat down at did the math, but its shocking!

Focus T25 Day 6 – Alpha Cardio

Today was Focus T25 Alpha Cardio, Day 6. After recently completing Insanity, one thought I have is when doing Focus T25 you can dictate how hard you push yourself. When doing Insanity you are pushed to the max no matter how much effort you put in, so I need to make some adjustments and push harder to get the calorie burn up.

Les Mills Combat Upper Body Blow Out

I’ve blogged previously that I’m currently doing Focus T25 and I’m doing it Sunday-Thursday, instead of the Monday-Friday schedule. I’ve decided that Saturdays are going to be called “mix it up Saturdays”. My thoughts are I’ll select a program from one of the programs I’ve previously done or haven’t done as well as do a long or short run.

Today, I selected Les Mills Combat Upper Body Blow Out. I’ve done a few workouts from the Combat program specifically Core Attack and the Lower Body Blow Out workouts. This workout was 25 minutes long and incorporated the core, shoulders, legs and back into the routine.

I’ll keep it in the Saturday rotation, it provided some great strength and core training packed into a 25 minute workout. I also used 15 pound weights since I wasn’t sure what to expect.

Focus T25 Day 5 Cardio & Lower Focus

Today was Focus T25 Day 5  a dual workout day, Alpha Cardio & Lower Focus. The moves in Alpha Cardio were much easier tonight, perhaps I wasn’t as tired as when I did the same workout Sunday night. The Lower Focus workout was intense, my legs were shaking about 15 minutes into the workout and my left knee was hurting a little bit. All-in-all I’m really liking Focus T25 and I can’t to see the results when I’m done.

I burned roughly 350 calories per workout.
